Town Administrator and Emergency Management Director Kevin Sweet announces the launch of a new website that will provide community members with the latest public health and emergency management information as Wrentham responds to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
The new website, WrenthamCOVID19.com, will serve as a one-stop resource for residents, visitors, and business owners to receive all town updates as the COVID-19 situation continues to develop. Visitors can subscribe via email to receive notifications for new posts. The website is also tied to Wrentham’s town government social media accounts, so it will automatically post all content from the blog onto all of the town’s Twitter and Facebook accounts without delay.
The new site features a modern, blog-style layout, mobile device compatibility, and a user-friendly design that contains:
- Latest COVID-19 updates and information as it pertains to Wrentham
- Links to key Town of Wrentham resources, like the Wrentham Food Pantry and local business relief
- Email subscription capability
- Contact information for the town, including the emergency call center.
“This website will serve as a landing point for all of the latest COVID-19 news and updates in Wrentham and will also allow us to simultaneously post information through the town’s social media channels in order to keep residents informed,” Town Administrator Sweet said. “We encourage residents to check this site regularly and to sign up to receive email alerts for new posts.”
COVID-19, the illness caused by the novel coronavirus, was declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization and has led President Donald Trump to declare a national emergency, Governor Charlie Baker to declare a state of emergency in Massachusetts and Board of Selectmen to issue a Local Emergency Declaration.
