Town of Wrentham Provides Information Regarding COVID-19 Vaccination Distribution

WRENTHAM — Town Administrator Kevin Sweet and the Town of Wrentham would like to provide the public with information regarding COVID-19 vaccination distribution.

Residents are reminded that the vaccine will not be available to the general public until April, at the earliest, as part of the state’s vaccination distribution plan. The state is updating the list of eligible groups prioritized within the state twice weekly on its website, which can be found here.

At this time, the Town is asking residents not contact the town’s nurses with questions about vaccine distribution, qualifications, access or timelines. Residents with questions regarding the timeline of vaccine distribution can contact the Massachusetts Department of Public Health by emailing COVID-19-Vaccine-Plan-MA@mass.gov.

“Getting vaccinated is the next step in combating COVID-19, and we know it is of great importance to our community,” Senior Public Health Nurse Lauren Hewitt said. “However, we are awaiting more instructions from the state on the timing of distribution. The past several months have been long and difficult, and we want residents to know that we appreciate their continued cooperation and patience in fighting the virus. Once we receive more information from the state, we will be quick to share it with residents.”
