Message from the Town Administrator

Greg joins us with nearly two decades of municipal experience serving the last 4 ½ years as Town Administrator for the Town of Avon. Prior to his tenure in Avon he was the Director of Human Resources for the Town of Ashland, Assistant Town Administrator for the Town of Whitman, and Neighborhood/Downtown Planner in the Cities of New Bedford and Brockton. Greg earned a Bachelor’s in Political Science from The Pennsylvania State University, Master of Public Administration degree from Suffolk University, and is a Massachusetts Certified Public Purchasing Official (MCPPO). He is an active member of the Massachusetts Municipal Management Association and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Municipal Human Resources Association. Please join me in welcoming Greg to Wrentham!

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Gregory Enos effective February 1, 2023 as our Assistant Town Administrator / Director of Human Resources. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, Greg will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Administrative Office, leading all human resources functions, risk management, procurement, principal negotiator in collective bargaining, and administrative direction over assigned Departments including; Animal Control, Veterans, Council on Aging, Library and Recreation.

Department Spotlight

Finance Director Mike King earned the title of Certified Massachusetts Municipal Collector at the November Meeting of the Massachusetts Collectors and Treasurers Association. Mike previously earned the “Certified Massachusetts
Municipal Treasurer” in 2019. Congratulations Mike!

Citizen Spotlight

Mary Beth Bernard

Mary Beth Bernard, Director of Human Resources, will be officially retiring effective February 14, 2023. Mary Beth was the Town’s first Director of Human Resources and helped develop a number of HR programs and policies during her 4-years of service. She will be spending more time with family and Grandchildren; while continuing to serve as a Consultant in the Human Resources field. Best wishes for a much deserved retirement Mary Beth!
